Regular Users

The village hall has a wide range of users.

When: Thursdays 10am to 1pm (term time)

We are a friendly self help group and have regular workshops run by local artists to help us develop more skills and techniques.

New members are very welcome and are invited to contact us by email or call in on a Thursday morning when we would be happy to tell you more about our group, alternatively, please see our website:wilbarstonartgroup.localart.uk

When: Tuesdays 10am till 12pm

We are a small group meeting at Wilbarston Village Hall on a Tuesday morning to play short mat bowls. If you fancy trying your hand at playing bowls please come along and have a go. Everything is provided at the hall and new players are more than welcome. The morning is a social occasion with coffee and biscuits half way through the session.

Each session costs £3.00. Just turn up or contact Ann Webster 01536 770816 or Bobbee Mellor 01536 771137 for more information.

When: 3rd Wednesday of the Month 7.30pm to 9.30pm

We are a group of ladies. We listen to visiting speakers, who talk on a wide variety of subjects, have coffee and chat. The evenings are pleasant and relaxing.

In May we have a meal out together, which is always an enjoyable and social event. In June we go out for the day to a local attraction, where we have a look round, browse around the shops and have lunch together.

Notices go up in the corner shop announcing the event / speaker for the month and programmes for the forthcoming year are produced every January.

Please come along to one of the evening sessions or ask for a copy of the programme, obtained from Bobbee Mellor – 07429 234399 / 19, Rushton Road, Wilbarston.

When: Wednesdays 1.30pm till 2.30pm

Tai Chi Qigong is an ancient Chinese holistic practice of slow, low impact movements that incorporate posture, breathing and focus to cultivate a smooth energy flow through the body. It calms the mind, improves wellbeing and fitness. Think of it as a gentle moving meditation to help with relaxation. As it is low impact it is suitable for all ages and abilities. It can also be effective if done in a seated position just gently moving the arms.

We are a group of mums and carers that meet at the Hall with our children to have a play with the toys and provide some snacks.

The Hall is a clean, safe and spacious place for the children to play and mums to relax and have a chat over a cuppa.

We are always on the lookout for more volunteers and also for people to come and visit us. Please feel free to drop in; there is no need to book in advance.

For more information, contact Sandra Symonds on 07908 416662 or visit Wilbarston Tots on Facebook.

Badminton has been played at the Hall for many years. The court and net are available for hire; you just have to bring your own rackets and shuttlecocks.
